To obtain necessary Wilson County Permits, (such as driveway, septic, and floodplain development permits) contact the Wilson County Emergency Management Office at (830) 393-8357. This office accepts and issues receipts for permits for the various responsible county agencies.

HWY 181 Recycle Center (SRHOA BUSINESS SPONSOR) pays cash for all kinds of metal from aluminum cans to car batteries and junk cars.
Location:  12449 S US HWY 181, San Antonio,TX 78233.  (4 miles north of Loop 1604.)  Phone:  210-633-9098. 

Wilson County Recycling Bin accepts cardboard, glass, plastic, aluminum food and beverage containers, and paper such as books, magazines, newspapers, office paper, and telephone books.  Location:  335 Alternative Ln, Floresville.  Website:  www.co.wilson.tx.usPhone:  830-393-8351. 

New Earth composts leaves, brush, and logs no more than one foot in diameter and two feet long.  Location:  7800 IH 10 East, San Antonio.  Phone:  210-661-5180.       

Wilson County Collection Center

The Wilson County Collection Center is located on County Road 310, west of Stockdale. The facility is open Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The dump fee is $ 7.50 per cubic yard, or about $15.00 for a loaded pickup truck bed. Large garbage bags are $1.00 each and a 55 gallon drum $ 2.50

All kinds of waste are accepted including building materials, appliances, tires etc. Hazardous Materials are NOT accepted.

 To get to the facility from Shannon Ridge, take Hwy 181 south into Floresville, then Hwy 97 northeast toward Stockdale. Turn right onto FR 1922, then turn left onto CR 310. The facility is located at the end of CR 310.
